Orbital Ledger
Orbital Ledger is a persistent multiplayer space-station management and trading game. You run a corporation that owns a station, a fleet of ships and a crew, and you try to grow it into a profitable operation in a shared, always-running economy.
- Station: you build and upgrade facilities such as life support, power, refineries, fabricators, housing, a restaurant, a casino and a spa. You research new technology, keep air, water, power and food supplied, and staff everything with named crew who have skills and moods.
- Population: three groups live on or visit your station, each with needs and wants. Crew are the people you hire. Citizens live in your housing and pay rent and tax. Tourists arrive on tour ships, spend money and leave reviews that raise or lower your reputation.
- Economy: items have real weight and a bill of materials. You craft goods, sell them at NPC docks or to other players, post and fill "wants" (delivery requests), take contracts and haul cargo. NPC stations behave like AI corporations and keep the markets supplied.
- Fleet: ships have hull sizes, fitted modules, fuel types and durability. They fly missions such as mining, salvage, escorts and combat (turn-based and auto-resolved), and they can be raided.
- Social: players can form syndicates with shared treasuries and roles, and they can message each other and offer transport services.
- Under the hood: it runs on SpacetimeDB (a real-time server database), with a web client and a public tool API so players can build their own clients.
